Imperial launches asbestos sampling service
Imperial consultants is delighted to announce the launch of its independent asbestos sampling service for UK insurers, which is delivering significant reductions in subsequent asbestos removal costs and reductions in the overall claims lifecycle.
The service removes the need for a second visit to the customer's home to collect the sample and removes any potential conflict of interest over the validity of the sample taken.
When attending site to validate a buildings insurance claim, the Imperial Consultants surveyor will identify any material, which may potentially have an asbestos content.
If the Imperial Consultants surveyor believes the material which potentially has an asbestos content is required to be disturbed or removed as part of a building repair reinstatement scope of works covered under the buildings insurance claim, the Imperial Consultants surveyor will collect samples from the potentially effected area.
The samples collected by the Imperial Consultants surveyor will be forwarded to independent laboratory for assessment of asbestos content. The results of the test will be forwarded from the laboratory to Imperial Consultants.
Imperial Consultants charges a fixed fee for this service regardless of the outcome of the test results. i.e. it does not receive any commission from any third party or asbestos removal contractor.
